It's a summer afternoon, and as often happens, the perfumer is on a road in Madrid. But this time, everything is different. He's driving the extraordinary car he'd dreamt of. It's now in his hands, a marvel of mechanics with a dreamlike body. Synesthesia then sets in: the deep, familiar sound of the engine, the feel of the steering wheel vibrating under the speed, and the scent of the refined and soft leather that dresses the entire interior. Emotions jumble in the perfumer's mind, seeing in it the inspiration for a fragrance: Legend Leather. A composition with leathery accents, ultra contemporary yet iconic, powerful yet subtle. It's all there, the strength and vivacity from aldehydes piercing through the vibrant and smoky notes of guaiac wood, the power and elegance brought by a saffroninfused iris mixed with ambergris. Finally, immortelle and styrax underline the whole composition with a sensual density, skindeep. A word from the perfumer: There are many ways to evoke leather. Here, I wanted to combine strength and softness, but also the voluptuousness of a skinonskin sensation with the power of a dense leather character. Like a millefeuille of emotions and memories that one can experience in certain situations. I was exhilarated by this sensation of speed and freedom, and I wanted to convey it in an ultramodern composition, like a passion passed on to a younger generation.
