In the late 18th century, George John, the 2nd Earl of Spencer, decided to remove the tails from his overcoat—the jacket became a style signature of Regency Era Great Britain and served as the inspiration behind Balmain's blazer. Cut slim, it's tailored from crepe, padded for structure and decorated with crystals, beadwork and frogging.
